Reconnect yoga retreat with Sophia Thora
August 13 - August 19
Connect to your true nature. Get away from it all, into nature into beautiful D’Alijo in Portugal for a week of yoga that brings you closer to yourself and into your power.
Get out of the everyday hamster wheel of expectations that we ourselves and others set ourselves. Into nature, to a quiet place where we can relax, find ourselves and come into our power. In this yoga retreat in Portugal, we will explore how yoga can help us live an equal, healthy and happy life and strengthen the three most important relationships in our lives. To ourselves, to others and to our environment.
In Asana practice, we will learn through accurate alignment and yoga therapy how to properly straighten out tensions in our bodies. On the other hand, in a flowing practice, we will let one’s body, breath and movement become one and playfully approach one or the other challenging asana.
In the meditation sessions you will learn to calm your mind, relax your nervous system and uncover and dissolve counterproductive thought patterns.
In the afternoon yoga sessions, depending on the energy level of the group, either yoga is practiced or small workshops are held to address specific topics (eg alignment in certain asanas, small Thai yoga massage sequences, meditation techniques, mindfulness exercises, stress management techniques).
A well-rounded yoga program awaits you in Portugal, which will let you get in touch with yourself again and is suitable for advanced as well as beginners.

After completing her Psychology Degree, Sophie Thora completed various other education programs in the area of Stress Management & NLP. The ultimate goal was to combine her Psychology profession with her love of yoga, so she travelled to India and completed a Sivananda Yoga (Hatha Yoga) Course, followed by a Vinyasa Course with Mark Stephens & Chad Hamrin. In 2017 she was introduced to Simon Park, a renowned yoga instructor, who fine tuned Sophia’s slow paced, precise, flowing style. Since 2015 Sophia has been teaching yoga and coaching in Munich, opening her own studio, Kale & Cake, in 2018 with a longtime friend.
This retreat is organized together with our partner Prayana Yoga Retreats. All information about the location and arrival, as well as the registration form can be found on the website of Prayana.
