Our accommodation consists of the main house the “heart of the retreat centre” which is rebuild from huge granite rocks. The main house offers 5 bedrooms, kitchen, restaurant and terraces. Spread over our grounds are wooden chalet style rooms & houses, all rooms have outside verandas and we provide heating when needed. Surrounded by large terraces we offer undisturbed views of the area and premises. D’Alijo Retreat Center can host groups between 12 -28 participants.
D’Alijo Retreat Center sprawls across five hectares of land consisting of terraces, olive field and hills with large rock formations. We offer two swimming pools, water features, and a peaceful meditation cave.
On property, we encourage you to enjoy our beautiful walking trails. Or feel free to venture off to the bordering national park to take in its enchanting waterfalls and towering trees.
During your stay, you may wish to explore some of the nearby UNESCO heritage villages and cities such as Porto, Guimarães & Braga and beautiful Douro Valley. Please let us know of any interest as we are happy to provide you with recommendations and local information.
